September '24 Newsletter

When was the last time you took a walk in the woods? We are surrounded by so much beauty in Northern Michigan, but we also get caught up in our really busy lives. Whether you are running kids like a New York City taxi driver, or burning the midnight oil at work, we encourage you to stop for a hot second and breathe in the fresh fall air. The crunch of leaves beneath your feet and the promise of a beverage after your walk should be enough to entice you. And if you need further encouragement, think about all of the things you CAN'T do on a hike (take calls from the boss, drive the kids to practice...you get the idea!).

Maybe Thoreau was on to something. Let's embrace our surroundings, take a good, long walk and come out taller than the trees.

JOIN US AT CAMP DAGGETT
We have the perfect opportunity for you to take that long walk! Join us on Sunday, October 6th from 1-4 pm at Camp Daggett. This event is a joint venture with the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, and YES, furry friends are invited! There will be contests for best dressed pet and person, snacks and a trick or treat scavenger hunt. Donations are encouraged and pre-registration is available but not required. Click here for more information. We can't wait to see you on the trail in support of two great non-profit organizations!
