July '25 Newsletter

This summer has been one for the ages so far! Long, hot days and warm summer nights have provided the perfect backdrop for fun with family and friends. We hope you have made wonderful memories on the water, hiking the trails or backwoods camping. There is still plenty of summer fun ahead and we hope your adventures bring you into Bearcub Outfitters, too. We love seeing friends, old and new, and know that we would not be celebrating 27 years in business without all of you!

We are so excited to host Movies in the Park at Dark again this year in downtown Petoskey! Our staff selected High School Musical, and we will be on hand July 18th to pass out popcorn. Don't mind us if we sing along...and feel free to join in!
Sidewalk Sales will be here before you know it and we can't wait! This epic event is from 9 am to 6 pm both Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th. We will have great deals with something for everyone!
We often get asked "where do the locals go?" when visitors shop with us, and we are happy to give our best kept secrets. This month we want to share our thoughts on the best beaches or places to wade in the water. Zoll Street Beach in Harbor Springs is a great little spot that always allows dogs. Further down the road, Zorn Park is the perfect place to spend the afternoon (check out the floating raft!) before grabbing ice cream downtown. Click here for all of the fantastic options in Harbor Springs.
Magnus Park is a small campground in Petoskey right along Lake Michigan. The beach is open to the public and is a great place to look for Petoskey stones. Finally, there is no place like the Petoskey State Park to frolic in the freshwater and catch a million-dollar sunset. Paddleboard and kayak rentals are available, too! Feel free to share your favorite beaches in the area and we will include them in another edition of our newsletter.
