CELEBRATING 25 YEARS AT BEARCUB OUTFITTERS!

We are so fortunate to live on Lake Michigan and have access to so many amazing rivers and lakes around us. How many of you have taken a late night dip or early morning plunge this summer? Jumping off the breakwall on a hot July afternoon is almost a right of passage when you live in Petoskey (or come to visit)! The staff at Bearcub Outfitters wants to do its part to not only celebrate our beautiful waters but protect them as well.

As you will see below, we have partnered with the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council on the Clean Waters Challenge again this year. With your help, we can make a difference in preserving our natural resources and the unique community we are lucky enough to call home.

Sidewalk Sales!

It's that time again! Petoskey's annual Sidewalk Sales are scheduled for July 28 and 29 from 9 am to 6 pm. The streets will be closed and there will be a great selection of sale merchandise up to 50% off!

To make things more exciting, Saturday, July 29 is also a 5th Saturday Sale. That means if you are a member of our Cub Club, you will get an EXTRA 20% off already marked sale merchandise (and 20% off regular priced items). You MUST be signed up for the Cub Club BEFORE July 29 to take advantage of this great deal. Not sure if you are a Cub Club Member? Give us a call and we will take care of you!

We Love Our Community!

It's true what they say, there really is no place like home. Our community is welcoming to residents and visitors alike with a variety of events taking place this summer and Bearcub Outfitters is thrilled to support several of these activities.

There are free concerts in Pennsylvania Park (located in downtown Petoskey) every Friday night from July 14 to August 18, 7-8:30 pm. After the concert, grab a drink or an ice cream cone then settle in for a free movie in the park (co-sponsored by Bearcub Outfitters) starting at 9:30 pm.

There will once again be a "Summer Send Off" event on Saturday, August 19 when the alley behind Beards Brewery will be closed for fun family events and a free performance by the Charlie Millard Band.

Clean Waters Challenge

It's time again for the Clean Waters Challenge! We are so excited to partner with the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council to clean up our local waterways. Our staff spent a couple of hours cleaning up the wetland area near North Central Michigan College along Atkins Road last week and collected an entire trunk-load of garbage. Look at the difference YOU can make with volunteering just two hours of your time!

Come see us in Pennsylvania Park on Thursday, August 17 from 10 am to 1 pm to register for the Clean Waters Challenge and win a prize from Bearcub Outfitters just for signing up to help! The clean up is scheduled for the weekend of August 18-20. Click here for more information.
